The most effective approach to mitigate development risks is to simulate before committing to implementations. We have tens of thousands of simulation hours under our collective belts. They range from very low-level firmware, RTL and even transistor-level simulations to highly theoretical ones. We know how to verify and validate your designs and ensure a predictable performance. We have developed quite a number of systems on FPGA ,ASIC and SoC platforms. Usually, our approach to ASIC development starts with architectural designs and simulations and then prototyping on an appropriately-sized FPGA platform, before moving onto ASIC/SoC design and fabrication. Our approach is heavily rooted in reliability of the design for final ASIC/SoC product. As such, we usually prototype the system on an FPGA platform with the same hardware and firmware code base as is intended for the final ASIC/SoC. This way, we make sure that the FPGA platform can verify and validate the final ASIC/SoC designs as closely as possible, reducing the risk of bugs and the uncertainty about the performance as much as possible. Clearly, running ASIC/SoC designs in FPGA is not a straight forward task since FPGAs cannot typically reach the speed and performance of the custom hardware. Nevertheless, over the years, we have developed certain techniques to circumvent such limitations and follow a solid development process.
