Various Bluetooth Low Energy (BT LE)-enabled hearing aid devices.
Purpose
Packet sniffing on communication between the hearing aid devices and various smartphones.
Procedure
- An audio file with the proper audio compression encoding was streamed to the BT LE-enabled devices from the smartphones.
- A BT LE Protocol Sniffer/Analyzer along with a compatible PC software application was used to capture BT LE packets while streaming.
- Used an oscilloscope to monitor the RF signals and confirm communications
